Brrrrrrooke Fraser

Amid the freezing and barren lands of Madrid we heard a kiwi sing... a very sweet sounding kiwi - Brooke Fraser. We just found out about her concert that day and were delighted to find the venue and get tickets at the door. It was her first gig in Spain and she was excellent. We first heard her CDs in the Basque Country in the flat of Kiwis Duncan & Ainsley Sinclair then got to know her worship music in New Zealand. She opened with the song Sailing (her husband is a Kiwi sailor) and it kept getting better. Donald and I enjoyed a wee bop, met some friends and came home very happy after a great Sunday.

Time with the new generation..

Such a good visit last week from the Frier family! After a year in your host country you are allowed visitors from home. Miriam & Mick came before Miriam went back to work ater her maternity leave. 10 days wasn't long enough to explore but the girls kept up a good pace walking round sites, shopping and visiting play parks. They slept all night while the adults wilted, whined, ate too much and planned siestas. The three chicas in the photo weer the ones who got sick - in fact this photo was taken 5 minutes before the flood started!

The cast from right to left;

Emilie Fiona, Fiona Ann & Rebekah Josie

On the right Emilie shops... so like her Mum on a mission!

2012 Conference

We are back from Conference - 6 days - almost one WEC!  Patrick & Sarah McElligot were over from the UK as speakers so that was a treat for us with excellent teaching. We also had many business sessions and good worship times. The last night was an international dance night which saw everthing from the Oompaloompa dance to Ninepins.
